Silver Forest: Kero ⑨ Destiny [English Subtitles]

Posted on August 3rd, 2009 by admin

After a long while, I’ve finally finished another subtitling endeavor. Unlike my first, this one came out far nicer, and has a nice video to go along with it. (The original video was made by a NicoVideo user.)

From Silver Forest’s album released at Comiket 73 (東方蒼天歌, Touhou Soutenka), Kero ⑨ Destiny is a remix of Suwako Moriya’s theme from Mountain of Faith. The original title is “ケロ⑨ destiny.”

(Note: “Kero” is Japanese onomatopoeia for the “ribbit” sound frogs make. “Mishakuji-sama” is another name for the god of the Suwa lake, referring to Suwako.)

Legendary Jazz Pianist Horace Silver in 1976. The original performance on the dvd was about 12:30, so I had to edit this. It has the wonderful intro, plus a Silver solo, then the theme again, and a great ending. From his dvd “Live at the Umbria Jazz Festival 1976″

STERLING SILVER MINIATURE BICYCLE “WHIPPET” 1/20 scale

Posted on July 26th, 2009 by admin

_AUCTION IS STARTED_

super beautiful all hand made by a local artist who made the trophies two years in a row for “Le Tour de France” - won both years by LANCE ARMSTRONG - ( sterling silver and 18ct. gold plated silver) miniature 1/20 scale BICYCLE (called The WHIPPET, manufactured by Linley & Biggs in London around 1887) A REAL JEWEL PIECE OF ART. He makes scale models of different antique bicycles and cannons. All parts of the bicycle are made one by one like the real ones and require around 500 hours of work. All parts are in working operation. The brake really works, the pedals turn, the bench goes down when you put pressure on it….etc…. considering the work involved, the reserve is $8,500.00 — This is one of the most expensive one, but some of his work sold for over $10,000.00
