I think you got to cut at where it gets caught and tug them out.
Use a tweezer to hold. Keep cutting.
Is tricky. Also try get them out immediately.
The more it stays, the more it gets tangled.

I used baking soda and salt with warm water to clean my jewerly. I have long hair too and I know exactally what you're talking about cause mine does the same thing. All you do is get some aluminum foil, and line the bottom of your sink with it. Fill the sink up with hot water. Lay the necklace on the aluminum foil and pour baking soda and salt in the water. Let it sit for a couple hours and it should dissolve everything. Make sure the shiny part of the aluminum foil is facing up too. This also gets tarnish off and cleans it really really good without damaging stones or anything that may be on the necklace. If it doesn't come completely clean and the hair doesn't dissolve completely, then use a toothbrush to scrub it while you still have it in the hot water.

try using tweezers, I 've had that happen before too, or if you can you can get a very small pair of pointy scissors lik ethe ones that come in mens grooming cases that they can clip their nose hairs with and try cutting alittle. A sewing needle might help too. Once you do that I'd start removing it when showering or sleeping!:)
