How do I take scratches out of silver bowl?

Through ignorance I used a scratchy dishcleaning pad to clean a silver bowl instead of official silver polish and soft rag (dumb! dumb! dumb!) and scratched it. Now what?

try MAAS metal polish. it will polish anything metal and make it look great. its a cream in a tube and a little bit goes a long way.

If it is silverplated, you can have it replated.

I have heard that white toothpaste will take small scratches out, because it has a slight abrasive quality to it.
