How can you determine the mood of a silver dollar fish?

I just bought 2 silver dollars, and I was wondering how you can determine the mood of a silver dollar. I have 2 bala sharks and I know that can tell their modd from the blackness of their fins, but I do not know on the silver dollars. Please Help.
Well, when he starts wagging his fin an whistling dixie, it’s a pretty good sign he’s happy. Ok ok, bad joke. Anyway, I agree with G on this one too. Moreso, I really believe that you learn way more about the personalities of your fish by just sitting there watching them. I can tell you about the moods of each one of my fish, just by what they are doing/how they are acting……without having outward signs on them. It’s all in how much you really get in to your fish I suppose. This is also good in that if something is not right in the tank (levels go off somehow…..ie ammonia spikes, etc.), you know it just by knowing your fish. But this is my thoughts on it, everyone is different. Give him a few days to acclimate (some fish can even take up to a week to relax), and then start watching him, soon I bet you’ll be able to tell with no outward signs on his part. Fish psychology 101 I suppose, lol. Good luck, they are really neat fish!!! ;o)

with any fish you look for loss of color (even though a little silver dollar doesn’t have much) and the way they hold their fins. if they are back a bit then hes not a happy fish. just give him a couple more days to acclimate.
