    you don’t really have to wear glasses when flame working. The orange sodium flare does not damage your eyes. But if you get colored boro very hot the glass will get bright enough to hurt your eyes.

    well that is pretty bad but his work is more based on melting the end of a rod and dripping it onto the piece, melting the end of a rod is not hard and you dont need to look at it much. Most lampworkers draw thier color on more than dripping it like he does.
