How did the Ancient Chinese make those pendants?

They weren’t made out of Jade, they were made out of metal with a hole in the middle of it. Does anyone know how they made it? A link would be much grateful too. Thanks!

Those were actually coins, developed in about 200BC and used until about a hundred years ago. I believe the hole was created in the center so coins could be stored on a string, instead of carried in a purse.

As for the actual metal-working of said coins, I believe they would have made a cast with a big square pole in the middle, and poured molten metal around the pole to create the square shape in the middle. But I’m not a metallurgist, so I could be wrong!
