Does this pair of gemstone pendants work together nicely on a necklace, and for my being?

Black Onyx - "The stone of self mastery and self control"
with tournaline, the gemstone of poets and teachers?

Note: My goal is to become an author and my zodiac sign is the Capricorn.

In general, they are a good selection. Since Tourmaline comes in a large variety of colors it will be excellent to mix with the Black Onyx.
