How much would it cost to get a stainless steel necklace to be engraved?

My boyfriend has told me that he would like to save up to engrave my stainless steel turk, a circular bar necklace that is locked in place. We want to engrave it with latin, 27 letters exactly, and maybe some roses. Does anyone know how much this would cost?
Engraving costs are decided by the engraver who will have to look at the item to be engraved, then the style of letters and artwork involved and the degree of difficulty for doing such a job. It can cost from $50 to about $75 based on what you mentioned.
The best thing to do is to take it to teh engraver and get an estimate. They do not charge for estimates.

Costs will vary based on the engraver. Rotary engraving can be performed by ThingsRemembered and will, after all fees, run about $40 - $60. If you have a laser engraving shop do it, and are OK with the laer marking engraving (looks dark gray to black) versus rotary engraving (etched into metal), this will be much cheaper. Our laser engraving shop would do this for $20 for the text and $25 if you add the roses, but prices vary by engraver as some charge by the word, or even letter, and have a setup fee.
