How do i select a necklace for my girlfriend?

Hey i was wanting to give a necklace for my girlfriend for Christmas but i think she is allergic to some metals used in jewelry. Is there any jewelry that is easier on skin than others? Or should i try and find out what she is allergic to?

first of all its the thought that counts ( this does not mean to pick something super cheap/tacky looking )
second of all idk what your budget is im assuming your looking for something a little lower cost than gold with the price of it being what it is …. you could go for silver ( thats beautiful and inexspensive )
something 18k gold plated … this should be ok on her skin titanium is another option as it is irratant free and lastly you can look into NICKLE FREE jewlery you can ask about it at the store they are jewlery specialy made for sensative skin …

Most people who have jewelry allergies are allergic to "cheap" metals. The safest thing to get is pure gold, for many people can tolerate that. But you may want to ask her what she is allergic to just in case

for people that are allergic to some metals usually gold, silver, or surgical steel are best. but i think it would be best to ask what she is allergic to cause i had a friend that was allergic to gold once. or if your worried she might find out what your planning to get her, you could have one of her friends casually ask her while their talking about clothing and accessories or something.
