How do I prevent my necklace from changing a dif color?

I bought a really cheap silver colored necklace from like ardene or clairs or something. But I bought it a while ago. I juss found it last night and it is kinda turning like a brownish bronze color. How can I get rid of it and stop it from happening??

thats happening to all of mine too. thats because the metal they make it out of is cheap and isnt really silver colored naturally, they just painted over it with silver. now that you wear it a lot, you sweat and it rubs against your skin and the color comes off.

you can’t stop it from happening unless you stop wearing the necklace. if you really want to preserve it i suggest you paint it silver or just buy a new one.

i just painted over mine in white, and it still looks pretty cool.

if that’s not your thing, buy a new necklace and don’t wear it while you shower,

Paint over it with a clear nail polish base.
