I would like to open a wholesale jewelry store. How do I find jewelry manufacturers overseas so that I can order in huge bulks? Do I need to order through a broker? Any information on this topic would be helpful. Thanks.

   Hi Divvy,

   I must commend for your wish to start this kind of business. Its pretty cool and you need to use search engines like google, altavista, askjeeves and ask for where you can buy jewelry in bulk. Also you can use ebay for it.

   But be careful to avoid online scam.

   There is a jewelers publication called JCK or Jewelers Circular Keystone. It is a trade magazine and has several different jewelry suppliers who advertise in it. They also publish a yearly list of worldwide supplers of various gems, findings and finished jewelry products. The list is quite large. Bear in mind that the jewelry industry is very hard to get into, and suppliers often have rigerous requirements for the people they sell too.

   There’s a very good and famous jewelry designer, David Tishbi. Celebrities LOVE his jewelery.
   You can go to his website: http://www.davidtishbi.com and fill out wholesale request. I know that min order is 12 pcs, but max as much as you want and wholesale prices are VERY attractive.
   Their headquarters are in Los Angeles, but all jewelry designed and crafted overseas in Israel.

   I’m sure you will be happy with them.
