What lights do I need for jewellery photogragphy at home?

Posted on September 29th, 2009 by admin

I use a Nikon D300 with a 50mm 1.4f lens and a white cube. I do not have any special lights at home for this purpose. Could anyone please recommend some table top lights and / or the appropriate bulbs for shooting pictures of jewellery at home. Hoping to turn this into a part time business

You should get a tripod, a white box/photo tent and then you can just use halogen or fluorescent lamps, or even natural lighting.

Manually set your white balance to the type of light source you’re using.
