What kinda jewellery should go with a orange dress with silver work on it?
Posted on July 3rd, 2009 by admin
The base of the dress is orange and has a heavy Silver work on its blouse and the belt of the skirt.
I was wondering to get a different look. So any one of you can suggest something with which i look a bit different. I mean should i go for more orange or more silver in the jewellery. And somebody also suggested Ruby wud look good with orange-silver combination. What do u guys say?
Its a pure orangy orange colour dress. In jewellery…Looking for ear-rings and something for neck.
Well, I work in tailoring and fashion design in Aspen, CO.
So, my answer largely depends on the specific shade of orange you’re referring to. A red-orange, ruby would pick up some of the red tones in the fabric, and work well.
Blue is the opposite of orange, so something in sapphire or topaz, perhaps even aquamarine would work well. Emeralds/other green stones, too.
Pretty much, the jewellery you wear is supposed to complement the garments as well as provide a little ‘pop’ or contrast. I’d primarily focus on silver metals, but in the color of the stones/enamel, etc. is where the choice ultimately resides with you, and I’d trust your own fashion judgement. If you think it looks good, go with it.
Good luck.

If the dress has a lot of silver work on it, you might want to skip jewelry altogether. Too much of a good thing.

I don’t think ruby would go with the orange and silver. It sounds as though the dress makes a statement by itself, so not sure you should wear a lot of jewelry to distract from the dress. How about something glass? If there is heavy silver work on the blouse and belt, what kind of jewelry are you looking for? Earrings? Guess you could go with silver, but you’d have to be sure it didn’t clash with and diminish the silver in the dress itself.

Since you say that, the dress has heavy silver work on the blouse,go for a jwellery with more of orange in it as it would provide a mild contrast and highlight your dress. Also try out a bracelet which matches your belt.Avoid ruby. Not just the jwellery but select the other accessories to suit the color scheme of your dress.Hope it works!

Hello there,
Well if your dress is Orange Orange with Silver work on it you should skip anything which is White Gold/Platinum.
Instead you should opt for Yellow Gold Plain byitself or with stomes.
Here are some recomendations I would like to offer you:
Yellow Gold Plain:
San Marco design necklace and earring set
Hugs and kisses/ hugs and love necklace and earring set.
Byzenteen necklace with matching bracelet diamond studs.
In Fine Jewelery I highly recomend you to stick with diamonds but if you wish to add color to it then here we go:
Australian Black Opal pendabt on a gold chain with matching earrings.
Tanzanite preferbly the darker ones AAA (Gem Quality)
Emerald bright green color with very few clouds.
Caribbean Topz in its 4 new colors highly recomend you as it is also very reasonably priced too.
Chalcedony and Turquoise Jewelery.
Good Luck
