A have-a-go-hero tries to stop two jewellery thieves in Woolwich from getting away. The crooks get away but one of them loses his trousers in the process.

    I bet most of the people who commented saying they would do something would actually just stand there like most people. I know I would. It’s not worth an injury or a gun shot wound for a hand shake and a thank you.

    Someone in my area tried to ist a shop by taking down a theif who was running away. Eventually, the guy who tried to help was charged for ault and served prison time.

    Your so called bystander effect is classic conditioning of western societies like the UK, by the powers that be. This does not happen in non western countries, so that is an ignorant statement. Take Sierra Leone for instance, if such a robbery took place which is almost non existence, the robbers will have to be saved from the witnesses. Please educate yourself about other cultures and societies. This only happens in places like London. Brits are apathetic due to egotistical control. Pathetic.
