What should you put on a medical alert bracelet?

Posted on October 26th, 2009 by admin

My daughter has diabetes and is wanting to purchase a medical alert bracelet but isn’t sure what all she should put on it. A lot of web sites tell you to put a lot of different information to put on it, however you can’t with only 3 or so lines available.

Note that she is diabetic, any other serious medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy) if she has them, then any medication allergies. If this leaves room, put your phone # for contact.

If I wear a rainbow bracelet, will I automatically come across as a lesbian to whoever notices it?

Posted on October 25th, 2009 by admin

I don’t mind what people think, I just want to know:

If you saw someone wearing a distinctively rainbow bracelet (woven like a friendship bracelet,) may you wonder if they are gay/ lesbian?

I wouldn’t assume the girl is a lesbian right away.

I have seen some lesbian girls wearing rainbow bracelets, and I’ve seen girls that are not lesbians wearing rainbow bracelets.

However, I am sure ignorant, stupid and close minded people will automatically think you are a lesbian if you wear a rainbow bracelet.

What is the most durable friendship bracelet?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

I’m making a friendship bracelet for a friend and I want to know which kind is the most durable. I want it to last the longest time possible (without taking it off), so that means it has to endure the elements :]

Is any one friendship bracelet more durable than another?

get like one of those that the indians make outta string ! :D
thats what my friend got me and i only got it like a month ago
but still, its in perfect condition and im pretty sure it’ll last years(:
JUST make sure to tie it like 5 or 6 times. cause its string
it’ll fall off if you dont.

How can I send a bracelet to a friend via postal office?

Posted on October 13th, 2009 by admin

She lives 4 hours away by car and we are in the same country (Romania).
Can I place the bracelet in an envelope and mail it?

I would put it in a small box and get insurance on it. In the US it is not very expensive.

What is the best type of link for a charm bracelet?

Posted on September 23rd, 2009 by admin

I have charms and I need a bracelet, I really like belchers but I am worried the links might be a bit too fat and wide for the charms. What is the usual type used with charm bracelets?

Silver ones, they are cute!

How do I clean the gunk out of silver metal costume bracelet?

Posted on September 21st, 2009 by admin

It’s a wide cuff bracelet of hammered silver colored metal.

I’ve only worn it 3 times then it sat in a drawer. There’s a film of gunky stuff that makes it dull and it doesn’t go away by wiping wit a dry or damp kleenex.

What can I use to clean it with, please? It’s not real silver, just costume jewelry. Thanks.

I use toothpaste to clean jewelry (even my wedding rings) Makes it shiny. Just give it a good scrub with toothpaste and old toothbrush.
It’s contact with your skin oils that are making it oxidize/darken like that. Just clean it after you take it off at night every time you wear it.

How can I get a Medic Alert bracelet without a membership?

Posted on September 17th, 2009 by admin

I want/need to get an engraved Medic Alert bracelet, but I really don’t want to sign-up for a yearly membership that is going to cost $20-40. Anyone know where I can find one (online) with no strings attached?

They have a scholarship program that they offer to those that can’t afford the membership fees and fee for jewelry. I am looking in to this as far as Medic Alert.

There are other companies out there that have something similar that are talked about in some of the drug stores like at CVS where you only pay $24.95 but I couldn’t tell if the fee was for per year or what.

I also just did a search on this that may help you find more information. The link is at:
