How to interlock those black jelly sex bracelet thingys?

I bought this sex bracelet jelly thingy and i cant interlock them together and put it on my wrist. I can interlock them but i cant put them in my wrist because my wrist is too big? I dunno…
And if i try to put them on i have to force it in to put it on.

my description may be confusing…
Hold them both together, then pinch the top of both and loop them through the holes together and pull. Then do it at the other end and voila!
