How can you tell if jewelry is real gold?

Posted on April 2nd, 2010 by admin

I inherited my grandmother’s jewelry. Some of it is very obviously costume jewelry but other pieces look like they may be gold. How can you know (without going to a jeweler) if something is gold, gold filled, gold plated etc? Is "gold filled" valuable?

look from karat rating on the jewelry, or go to a gold buyer and ask him/her it takes them about 1/4 or a nanosecond to find out if it is real.

Are these scalar energy pendants for real?

Posted on April 2nd, 2010 by admin

My mom came home from vacation with this scalar energy pendant and she says it helps with her arthritic had which she can now fully close that she couldn’t before.

I’ve not been able to find much on the internet apart from the fact that they are mostly made of volcanic rock. Anyone know how these things work how they affect the body?

Also, are they the same as those negative ion pendants?

A good indication of quackery and scams is the use of medical or technical jargon such as "energy", "quantum", etc. Energy is the ability to do work. In this pendant, where does the energy come from? What is the fuel that powers its healing properties? Do you see a little battery there or any other power source?

It’s just an inert piece of rock and it’s effect is mostly placebo.
