Does this pair of gemstone pendants work together nicely on a necklace, and for my being?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

Black Onyx - "The stone of self mastery and self control"
with tournaline, the gemstone of poets and teachers?

Note: My goal is to become an author and my zodiac sign is the Capricorn.

In general, they are a good selection. Since Tourmaline comes in a large variety of colors it will be excellent to mix with the Black Onyx.

What are good legit websites that sell 14k gold nose rings?

Posted on December 27th, 2009 by admin

I don’t want any cheap non gold or non sterling silver nose ring so please don’t refer me to costume jewelry type sites. Thank in advance:)

I always go to Empire Gold Buyers for anything to do with gold. I definitely trust them and they have a solid reputation.

Are my moms 1922 14k wedding bands worth more as gold or as rings?

Posted on December 21st, 2009 by admin

My grandma ended up with 2 14k gold wedding bands from october 1,1922 during some sort of auction years ago, my mom is getting together old gold jewelry she doesn’t wear to sell and my grandma gave them to us. We then realized hold old they were, would it be worth more to sell them as jewelry or as gold?

You NEVER get much money when you sell gold jewelry as gold, it just doesn’t weigh enough and the gold is not pure - pure gold is 24KT so an item that is 12KT is only 50% gold in the first place. If these things must be sold try to sell them as jewelry.

How do I properly clean a silver soap dish?

Posted on December 21st, 2009 by admin

I have a silver soap dish from one of my grandparents that I put a bar of soap in. The soap is gone now and it left the bottom of the container various shades of pink, blue, and green. What do I use to clean it out?

If there are pink and blue green stains this could indicate that the dish is plated copper. The chemicals in the soap have reacted with the metal(s) to cause corrosion. Try using a commercial silver cleaner with a soft rag. It may take some elbow grease and is likely that it will still have some staining but you can probably find some improvement this way.

How do I make my woven bracelet smaller?

Posted on December 21st, 2009 by admin

I have a woven bracelet that is kind of like a friendship-type bracelet. The thing is that it is too big! It has a loop on one end and a knot on the other to fasten it. Is there any easy way to make it smaller? If not, can you give me a link to buy some?

Some woven bracelets to buy

What is better for sensitive skin, 10kt gold or 18kt over sterling silver?

Posted on December 16th, 2009 by admin

Hello I am planning on buying a necklace and I have a metal (nickel) sensitivity. Do you think 10kt would be better or 18kt over sterling silver? What is 10kt gold usually mixed with now? Can the 18kt gold rub off of the sterling silver easily? Please help! Thank you :)
It is better to get 18kt gold and it is the purest form of gold it doesn’t cause allergy to sensitive skin.

How do I make scene jewellery on a budget?

Posted on December 13th, 2009 by admin

I want to start a jewellery line with my friend and we don’t have much money or equipment (eg. laser cutting machines etc). I was looking into Lovebitesandbruises.com but the website doesn’t seem to be working?

Anyone know what has happened with the site?
And do you guys know any easy ways to make scene jewellery?
Edit: Kiki Kannibal’s jewellery is wayyy to expensive.

lovebitesandbruises.com is a fake version of kiki kannibal’s jewellery.

you could purchase kiki kannibal’s jewellery at her website:
