What is best jewelry for a navel piercing?

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

I want to know what type of jewelry I should get to make it heal faster. What type of material? What type of barbell should i get?

The less pressure put on it the better so either a curved or circular barbell in high quality surgical steel. It should also be large enough to leave plenty of room for swelling, but not so much it gets caught on clothing.
You piercer will have recommendations.

How much does it cost to insure a jewelry store?

Posted on November 24th, 2009 by admin

I am doing a fairly in depth project for school and I need to find out how much it costs to insure a small retail jewelry store. Obviously it depends on allot of things but for the purpose of this project I just need a rough number. Thanks!

Where is it located
How many square feet
Value of inventory
Amount of risk on inventory you are willing to accept
How much liability coverage
How much liability exposure are you willing to accept

Talk to a good insurance agent about this

What is the differance between xbox live silver and gold?

Posted on November 24th, 2009 by admin

And how much is silver and how much is gold. And can you play online with silver or can you only download stuff? And can you talk to your friends on silver?

A silver membership can be used for downloading, talking to friends, sending messages, and pretty much anything to deal with the marketplace.

A gold membership can be used for anything, including online play, having xbox live parties so you can talk to all of your friends at once (up to 8 people at once).

Xbox live silver is free and xbox live gold will cost you a minimum of $50 per year!

How can I remove melted plastic of a Sterling Silver necklace?

Posted on November 22nd, 2009 by admin

I had a phone battery and a necklace in my coat pocket, the gold strips on the battery sent a current through my necklace melting it to the inside of my coat. After yanking it out my necklace now has plastic stuck to it. How can I remove it without damaging the sterling silvsilver necklace?

A candle and cloth will do with a pair of pliers to hold the necklace is more practical.

How much is a 14k yellow gold diamond ring worth?

I have one that I want to sell. I don’t know if it would be better to sell as a ring or to go to one of those cash for gold places.

$67

What jewelry do they ususally pierce the tragus with?

Posted on November 22nd, 2009 by admin

When they pierce the tragus, what jewelry do they use? Is it always with a hoop, or could I get it pierced with a diamon stud? I want to get my tragus done but I don’t want the hoop, I want the stud.

Thanks!

Most common jewelry is either a ring or a short bar, or stud as you call it.

Whichever jewelry you ultimately want, it’s better to heal with a straight or slightly curved bar initially regardless. Your piercer will measure to work out the best bar length for you. You can then put a gem stud on the outer side of the bar, and a flat back on the inside, just like you would for a labret piercing.

You might have to buy a smaller bar once the initial swelling has gone to give a snug fit, especially if you use earphones.

A tip for fast healing of any cartilage piercing: find a piercer who can do the piercing with a dermal/biopsy punch. This removes the cartilage altogether rather than pushing out on it, and means your piercing should heal in a fraction of the time - perhaps a 3-4 months rather than close to a year. There will also be less pain both during and after the procedure.

Note that if you’re in Florida (and perhaps certain other places of the world), you have no choice but to have a traditional needle piercing as biopsy punches are regarded as controlled medical tools.

How do i select a necklace for my girlfriend?

Posted on November 22nd, 2009 by admin

Hey i was wanting to give a necklace for my girlfriend for Christmas but i think she is allergic to some metals used in jewelry. Is there any jewelry that is easier on skin than others? Or should i try and find out what she is allergic to?

aww how sweet are you

first of all its the thought that counts ( this does not mean to pick something super cheap/tacky looking )

second of all idk what your budget is im assuming your looking for something a little lower cost than gold with the price of it being what it is …. you could go for silver ( thats beautiful and inexspensive )
something 18k gold plated … this should be ok on her skin titanium is another option as it is irratant free and lastly you can look into NICKLE FREE jewlery you can ask about it at the store they are jewlery specialy made for sensative skin …

happy shopping hope your GF likes what you picked out for her !

How obvious is it if you have silver fillings?

Posted on November 22nd, 2009 by admin

I need to get fillings in a few of my teeth, 3 bottom molars and 2 top molars, and I can’t afford to get white ones so they’ll have to be silver.

I just wondered how noticable they are on a daily basis, like when you’re laughing etc, is it really obvious? And what do you think if you see people with quite a lot of fillings? Do you think it’s a bad thing?

Silver fillings are quite noticeable. It does not look that bad though, since it would be at the back of you mouth. The main concern would be to have your teeth fixed to prevent further decay.

Another point of concern would be the safety of silver fillings. I read somewhere that it could be bad for your health since it can contain small quantities of mercury.

I see people with lots of fillings but I don’t think it looks bad. If you can’t afford the white fillings, go for the silver ones for now and when you’ve saved enough money, you can have them changed later on. You can’t wait and save money now, coz your teeth needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
