I want to start running jewellery parties and I need some ideas for good jewellery add on items! Any Ideas?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

I thought about jewellery cleaning cloths and I was wondering if you could think of any other simple cheap items like that, Like impulse items (eg. chocolate in the isles at a supermarket etc.) Thanks in advance for your help.
Actually my spelling is correct, it’s the Australian version. The same as mum and mom they’re both right.

How do I get hair off a sterling silver chain?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

I have a thin sterling silver necklace that is more round then flat. My hair is long and often when I sleep or take a shower my hair gets wrapped around the necklace. Now I have this thin clump of hair tightly wound on my chain. The hair is so tight I can't cut it off and jewelry cleaner doesn't dissolve the hair! Help!

I think you got to cut at where it gets caught and tug them out.
Use a tweezer to hold. Keep cutting.
Is tricky. Also try get them out immediately.
The more it stays, the more it gets tangled.

How do you add charms to a pandora bracelet?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

Im buying my friend a pandora charm bracelet but I’m buying the charms separately to the the bracelet, therefore i need to find a way of adding them myself… can anyone help me with this?

It depends on what kind of charms you are going to get. Some of them are threaded which you need to ‘twist’ them onto the bracelet. Some of them, like the beads, you can just simply slide them onto the bracelet. But either kind, you have to make sure the hole size fits the bracelet that you bought. Have fun building the bracelet, I’m addicted in buying new charms and beads for mine.

What color jewelry would look best with a brown dress? Look at the details for more specific information?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

What color jewlery like gold or silver would look best with a brown halter dress with copper colored sparkles. It’s for my 8th grade prom. I have matching brown shoes. But don’t know what kind or color jewelry to wear.

Of the two choices, gold. But I’d prefer a rose gold to yellow gold. Or copper.

Making necklaces with gemstone beads, where can I find an online site how to learn that?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

I just love gemstone necklaces and would love to design some for myself. Does anyone know a website that gives step-by-step decriptions and useful hints?

If you will do a search on "jewelry making tutorials" you will get a ton of results from most all search engines. You can modify that search by searching "gemstone necklace tutorial".

Both searches gave me back ton of links

Good luck and happy beading!

How do I clean my Tiffany Necklace without taking it to the store or buying a special cloth?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

I need to clean my Tiffany necklace but I don’t know what to clean it with. I don’t want to go buy a special cloth or liquid to soak it in. So, if you know of any way to clean it that won’t damage it please tell me.

Be sure you use non- abrasive toothpaste! Over time, this might cause damage. [ Buy one that is NOT for tartar/ plaque/whitening ].

How many Silver Dollars in a 75 gallon tank?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

I’ve been cycling a 75 gallon tank now for a month and everything is at a good level for dollars. I check it every other day. Currently have five mollies in the tank to help with cycling, no deaths and everything is good.
Looking at getting some silver dollars this coming weekend and the question is how many. Thinking of doing 8-10 sound good?
Also, thinking about going with some freshwater shrimp in the future, feasible or no?

Pretty safe to figure 1in. of fish= 1Gal. of water. I a 75 gal tank Silver Dollars will probably reach 2 1/2-3in.. So, putting 8-10 silver dollars in the 75 will still give you some room for bottom feeders. 35yr exp.

How much does it cost to shorten the bracelet of a steel watch?

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by admin

Is it better going to Jared, or should I go to the mall and find a common jewelry shop? I have been told by my roommate that Jared is too expensive and they might ask 20 bucks for such a little job. My watch is worth 53 dollars, and thinking of spending 20 to shorten the bracelet seems ridiculous.

It doesn’t matter where you go, they all use the same exact parts, just some places charge a rediculous amount because they have a reputation and a name. I have a watch that I’ve broke the pins in plenty of times. It’s a fossil so I took it to a fossil store and they fixed it for free! The other times I called around to find the place that has the cheapest price for labor and parts, which was $4.00 at one of my local jewlers. You’re better off not paying that high price because if it breaks again you’ll just kick yourself for paying 20 bucks for that part.
