Screw that - ask around at pawn shops and jewelry stores to get their prices, then offer it on Ebay with that as the starting price. Chances are good you can get more. Otherwise you’ll be taking a hit for re-selling it.

It depends on how much gold there is (weight), if there are any stones or designs, etc. Perhaps you can go to a jewelry store or a pawn shop and see how much they would sell it for. Sell it for that price or slightly cheaper (when you sell something used like that you always have to charge less than what you paid for it).
