How do you keep a new 14K diamond ring looking new?

I just got a new ring for christmas (early present) and i love the sparkle! it’s 1/2 carat diamond, and 14K white Gold. How do i keep it from getting dull, and retain its new sparkle?

they make a jar of jewelry cleaner you can soak it in. (it comes with a little brush) or use a soft toothbrush with a small dab of toothpaste.
